The first course in the second semester of Science for Step 2 students ages 7-8, and for students of any age who are developing literacy. 10 weeks of study including a test and teacher's answer guide.
What is a planet? How do planets come to be, according to science? What is Earth made of, and why is it unique? How does Earth support the trillions of living things on it?
The student learns about tectonics and tectonic plates, types of rock, volcanoes, islands, continents, earthquakes, ice ages, pollution, and the ways our planet is put together. A fun and challenging introduction to the planet we call "home". 18 lesson, about 10 weeks of study. Also develops literacy and study skills.
