The fourth and final semester of Creative Writing for Step 2 students, ages 7-8, and students of any age who are developing literacy.

This course helps to develop the student's creativity, and his ability to shape a story using the tools of story-telling, such as character development, conflict, action, dialogue and description.

Starting with fables the student knows, the student adds details and changes well-known stories, mastering essential writer's skills.  Then, the student is guided step-by-step through the authoring of three original stories, using newly-acquired skills.  Fun, hands-on lessons help the student to master skills that they will use for the rest of their schooling and the rest of their life.  From an Emmy Award-winning author and teacher with over 40 years experience teaching writers of all ages.
