My almost six year-olds love the Step 1 Creative Writing course. They started writing out sentences to go with their pictures instead of just words. They write short "stories" all day long on any scrap of paper they can. They still can't write their letters correctly and they are sounding out since spelling is still a long way off, but their creativity is just exploding!  AD, Homeschool Mom

A complete Semester of lesson plans, 57 in all, which help the youngest student start to create using his imagination and words - even students who are preliterate! 

The course is broken into two large sections. The course first develops the student's ability to describe ideas and actions and things using words. The second part helps bring into view the student's imagination, and directs it toward the creation of a simple story. Every lesson is fun and creative, and sets the student's feet powerfully on the road to self-expression. 

The author of our courses started his writing at age five. At age seven he wrote a piece he would later rewrite and win an Emmy Award for at age 17. You're never too young to start writing, and this course proves it.
